Virtual Assistants

Virtual Assistants are skilled professionals who do a variety of different tasks and support your office from an overseas location. Their tasks can include; administrative work, graphic design, event planning, social media management, calendar and & appointment managing, taking and receiving calls, as well as, marketing and advertising research for small, medium and large companies and even managing the day’s activities of senior management.
Virtual assistants can either be home-based or work from an office and are well known for delivering top quality work output.

Virtual Assistants or Executive Assistants come in three types; Freelance Virtual Assistant - Part Time, Home based on a Full Time basis and Office based on a Full-Time basis.

1. Freelance Virtual Assistant

Freelance Virtual Assistants tend to be project based and assist per project or for specific time periods. These type of VAs are experienced independent workers who do not need to be monitored or managed directly by someone locally. They are usually paid by their work output rather than on working hours, thus they can choose when and where they work. So long as they get the job done, everyone is happy.

2. Full-Time Virtual Assistant (Home based).

Virtual Assistants can also work from home on a full time basis. Their work load is provided and monitored by their employer in whatever country they report to. The upside to employing a home based VA is that they are cheaper than going through a call center or BPO. One major down side is, their home internet is usually of a poor quality, therefore making communication and information transferring quite challenging. Another pitfall is, are they just working for you or other clients and how many hours are they putting in on your business? If you are fortunate to find a good home based VA, life can be very sweet.

3. Full-Time Virtual Assistant (Office based).

These employees are housed by an outsourcing company and are employed based on their expertise and what the client is looking for. These highly-skilled workers are more stable than freelancers because they work closely with only one company and look at this as a career opportunity. Being office based means, they are managed locally and able to focus on contributing and helping the company achieve its goals. The down side, it does cost a little more than hiring a home based recourse, and the upside is, BPO’s have high speed internet connections making communication and information flow convenient and you know the VA is attending the office and working a full shift.
